Salvation Army Goes Cashless
Like many other nonprofits, Salvation Army has seen a decline in donations because potential donors are no longer carrying cash. This holiday season, Salvation Army Orlando has 60 DipJars at the kettles to capture spontaneous in person donations via credit card! They predict to raise an additional $50,000 with this addition! DipJar COO, Jon Fraser addresses concerns about security; there is no way to steal a donor’s personal or credit card information through the DipJar. Salvation Army has been adding DipJars to kettles and events throughout the country; and the partnership is continuing to grow!
