Cha-Ching: Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Atlanta

As nearly half a million children in the Metro Atlanta area live in communities with low or very low child well-being, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Atlanta works with volunteers to create one-to-one mentoring relationships that defend, inspire and empower the potential that lives within every kid. So, in a time when the families of the children they serve are among those who have been hit the hardest by the pandemic and economic downturn, BBBS’s work is important as ever.

After having to cancel three of their major events for the year due to COVID-19, BBBS ATL was excited to be able to safely host their annual golf outing, “Bigs Swing Fore Littles", earlier this month to raise life-impacting funds. They used their DipJars for the Super Bundle Package that included raffle tickets and other goodies – once people started “dipping” their cards, others heard the “cha-ching” from the DipJar and wanted to use it too! The attention-grabbing, fun activity of donating using DipJar helped BBBS raise over $4,500, for a total event raised over $130,000.

Since purchasing their first DipJar in 2017, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Atlanta has raised over $14,000 using DipJar and are now thinking of adding a third DipJar to kick off fundraising in 2021.
